Questions Ram will ask — prepared answers

How do you get to this number?
Bottom-up: 253 named work packages x role x hours x rate card = $494,745 labor for the full PRD (295 requirements, 20 modules). Add $38,000 third-party infra and program costs. Every line is on the Work Package Status sheet.
Why is the full-scope value higher than what you are asking?
Full scope from zero is $697,739. Roughly 37% of labor ($182,880) is already built and running on DealStore/DGERP/E2G, so you are not paying for it again. Remaining ask: $496,571.
Prove the work is already done.
87 of 253 work packages are marked Completed. Demo the Covered modules live on especiallyyours.com (products, checkout, Stripe Connect, TaxJar, orders, discounts) before the meeting.
Where does the remaining money go?
Largest remaining labor: M14 Online Store (Storefront) ($63,735); M20 Platform Foundation (Phase 2 Readiness) ($36,030); M3 Products ($24,990). Plus $115,519 program costs (PM, hardening, pentest, training, docs) and $38,000 infra.
What is your hourly rate and why?
Standard industry rates (BackendSr $110, Frontend $95, DevOps $130, Security $150, QA $80/hr) discounted 25%. Rate card is on the Rate Card sheet; swap in Ram's team rates and the totals recompute.
Why not use my own developers?
Valid for handover modules. Every package lists role and hours, so Ram's team can take any package and the ask drops by that line exactly. Nothing is bundled.
What is the contingency and when is it used?
10% of remaining labor = $31,187. Drawn only on an approved change request, otherwise returned.
What is not included?
POS, B2B wholesale, subscriptions, public headless API, third-party theme marketplace (Phase 2 per the PRD itself), multi-currency/multi-language unless Ram confirms EU/UK in Phase 1.
How were these numbers set?
No numbers are pre-approved. Rates start from standard industry rates and are discounted 25%. Total for the remaining scope: $496,571.
How do you recover the investment?
Default assumptions: 78 stores x $299/mo plus 0.15% of $53,000,000 GMV = $359,364/yr at full ramp. Payback in month 24 after a 6-month ramp. Merchants still save far more than they pay.
What if LabelShoppers does not migrate?
Phase 1 (EspeciallyYours) stands alone and is paid first. LabelShoppers work (77 stores) is gated by a Phase 2 go/no-go, so spend is staged, not committed up front.
How do I know progress is real?
Weekly demo against the Work Package Status sheet; a package is only Completed after acceptance. Payments tie to completed packages.
